Randall Reed, Planet Ford Sponsors Best Buddies? Disney World, Universal Orlando Magical Journey - Your Houston News: News

Randall Reed, Planet Ford sponsors Best Buddies? Disney World, Universal Orlando magical journey In the evening, the excitement didnt stop. The kids enjoyed marshmallow roasts and smores outside their Disney Wilderness Lodge cabins. They had a huge, family-style barbecue with celebrity guests on hand, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and various other Disney characters. The Reed family, Planet Ford and various donors contributed to create this fairytale journey. Thanks to all the contributors and Chuck Kramer, partner at Randall Reeds Planet Ford in Humble, for making this weekend possible. You all rock! said Reed. Our team at Planet Ford is so happy that we were able to help make this wonderful wish a reality, said Kramer, general manager/operating partner. Everyone worked hard, including the students, and it paid off.

Luxe suites and tech factor are new additions to Disney World | New York Post

Visitors to Disney World this summer will also be able to enjoy the new, ticketless, technology-based experience at the parks. The technology is called MyMagic+ a Web site, mobile app and wristband combo that will shape and, its hoped, streamline your theme-park vacation. The MyMagic+ experience begins even before departure at MyDisneyExperience.com. Here, you can plan your trip, synch it with other members of your group, and most importantly, order and load up a waterproof bracelet that will be your new key to the magic. (Read: key and charging.) This MagicBand, which comes in a variety of colors and personalization options, will also act as your PhotoPass and FastPass+ to further streamline your visit. Three passes per day can be loaded onto the band up to 60 days before your vacation (30 days for those not staying at onsite hotels). At the park, once you have used a FastPass, you can then log on to the mobile app or head to a park kiosk to load up another. One of Disney Worlds youngest visitors tests out the MagicBand at a park.Photo: Disney Make sure to book a pass on the seasons key new attraction in the Magic Kingdom, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which has you riding in buckets on a smooth and family friendly roller coaster. You can also pre-book dining reservations and new, this season pick VIP spots for shows and parades. Theres even the option to save a time slot for character photo opportunities, thus avoiding the often lengthy and arduous ordeal involved in meeting Mickey (or, since the runaway success of Frozen, Princesses Anna and go here Elsa). For those who prefer not to have their vacation organized like a military assault, never fear these plans can also be customized and changed during the visit via the app.

Walt Disney World visitors can skip the front desk during Direct to Room check-in test (World View) by Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix

Prior to arrival, participants must use Disney's online resort check-in system and pay for any outstanding balance due on their reservation. In addition, participants have up to one hour before their anticipated arrival time to leave a credit card on file in the check-in process to cover any room charges. Once participants complete this check-in process, they just wait for an e-mail and/or text message (depending on the notification preferences set up during check-in) that notifies them that their room is ready, and provides the room number. The MagicBand device acts as the room key, so there is no need to go to the hotel lobby before heading to the room. If participants opt to receive an e-mail notification, the message includes a copy of the resort map marked with room number maps. Those who opt only for text message notifications receive a message that says simply, "Your room number XXXX is ready," and invites them to go directly to their room. I've been told that a future upgrade of the system will allow Disney cast members monitoring the notification system to send a resort map to a guest on request, which will likely prove handy for guests who opt only for text alerts and cannot find their room based on number alone. Although this new system saves a bit time at the very start of the trip, there are still reasons you may want to visit the front desk even if you are eligible for Direct to Room check-in.
