Walt Disney World Visitors Can Skip The Front Desk During Direct To Room Check-in Test (world View) By Adrienne Vincent-phoenix

If participants opt to receive an e-mail notification, the message includes a copy of the resort map marked with room number maps. Those who opt only for text message notifications receive a message that says simply, "Your room number XXXX is ready," and invites them to go directly to their room. I've been told that a future upgrade of the system will allow Disney cast members monitoring the notification system to send a resort map to a guest on request, which will likely prove handy for guests who opt only for text alerts and cannot find their room based on number alone. Although this new system saves a bit time at the very start of the trip, there are still reasons you may want to visit the front desk even if you are eligible for Direct to Room check-in. For example, guests who need to park a personal or rental car must go to the front desk to obtain a parking permit, and people travelling together who want to use separate credit cards for their individual room charges need to visit the front desk to set that up, as the online check-in system cannot handle multiple forms of payment. In my mind, the time savings comes at the price of missing out on the personal welcome to Walt Disney Worldthat "welcome to the World" moment which, at least now, is not replaced by any other aspect of the My Disney Experience offering. Those first few moments in the intricately themed hotel lobbies are meant to help transition you into vacation mode, and transport you to a certain time and place. The welcome packet guests now receive at check-in contains information that is especially useful to first-time visitors, and the lobby is where you go to learn about resort activities like resort tours, outdoor movies, pool parties, and campfire events.

Mono mono twins or is it just so that the people who don't like thrill rides has something in tier one to choose? From Robert Niles on June 12, 2014 at 6:18 AM Bingo. From Russell Meyer on June 12, 2014 at 7:11 AM I think the reason they're moving Living with the Land is because many people were timing their Soarin' and Land FP+ times so they're back to back, and it gets them in position to collect additional FP+ reservations more quickly and efficiently. Line or not, you need to complete 3 FP+ reservations before getting additional reservations. From Anon Mouse on June 12, 2014 at 7:53 AM "That's why we suggest that visitors consider try to schedule their initial three Fastpass+ times for early in the day" You don't define "early in the day." Perhaps it should be more precise. I advise schedule late moring (10am) to early afternoon (3pm). You'll still have chances to book FP for late afternoon and evenings. Pick the most popular attractions (must-sees). Otherwise you'll be disappointed if you could not see your preferred attractions.

Large_lagconfidential.com.minimal It's also motivating fans to visit Norway to see the landscape that inspired the animated movie setting. Harald Hansen, U.S. spokesman for Visit Norway, said the number of U.S. tourists to Norway increased markedly since the film's release in November, with booked hotel nights up 37 percent for the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2013. He said tour operators have also seen a 40 percent sales increase this year, compared to the same period last year, while Oslo Airport Gardermoen reported a 57 percent increase in arrivals from New York for the first quarter. "We noticed a huge increase from the U.S. already in November and December last year, just after we started our marketing with Disney in October," Hansen said. Hansen said that the increase in traffic is most noticeable in the fjord region, but that there is also more interest in Oslo and Northern Norway, where visitors can see the northern lights a phenomenon that is also shown in the movie. Norwegian Air has also just started flying direct to Oslo from Orlando, Florida, the airport nearest Disney World. The Disney tour company Adventures by Disney is taking fans on a series of eight-day trips to Norway this year, priced at more than $5,000 a person, including a visit to Geirangerfjord, the fjord that inspired the film's fantasy kingdom of Arendelle.

Scientists Find Experimental Support For Killer Whales' Ability To Learn New Dialects

Scientists Find Experimental Support for Killer Whales' Ability to Learn New Dialects by Staff Comments A team of scientists from Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) and SeaWorld San Diego has provided the strongest evidence yet that killer whale dialects are learned. The study found that juvenile male killer whales are capable of learning new call types when they undergo a change view in social association. Killer whales have vocal repertoires that scientists call ?dialects? because they?re composed of calls unique to particular social groups. Discovering how whales develop these dialects hasn't been possible in the wild because of the inherent challenges in tracking an individual whale?s vocalizations and behavior regularly and for extended periods of time. The HSWRI study took advantage of the unique habitat at SeaWorld that was outfitted with multichannel video and eight hydrophones. This environment allowed the researchers to record and analyze the calls made by individual whales over a five-year period. Learning whether social association affects the calls of killer whales sheds important light on how wild populations of whales interact. Scientists still don?t know if and how populations of killer whales can merge. The data from this study give clues about how that might occur. To find out more about this and other research projects at SeaWorld visit www.seaworld.com/truth.

The printed books are still important to kids and parents. Tablets are just another gadget thats part of what they use for entertainment. She said that there are often trends if kids are reading. As soon as they like something, theres a book about it, said OBrien. A recent trend revolves around a computer game called Minecraft, where players build structures, explore and gather resources. When kids come into the library, they run straight for the computers. Kids love games, she said. The library isnt limiting the kids to a specific list. OBrien said any book would count and that schools will be having their own reading lists nearing the end of the year. Some other prizes include robotics books, reading certificates and a summer reading book bag awarded for guessing the amount of objects in a jar.

Unleash the Villains My wife and I parked at POP and walked over. Apparently we got there right before it hit capacity. It was fun and pretty unique but I'm not sure I'd pay that price for it. $40-50 would be a good spot for me. From James Rao on June 5, 2014 at 8:01 PM If this party is anything like the Halloween party it will be a lot of fun. And hey, if you want cheap go to the local fair, stay away from Orlando! From Phil B. on June 5, 2014 at 9:48 PM So rather than make major news and give fans something truly fantastic by finally announcing a fully realized villains land after the huge success after last years Friday the 13th party, they just go ahead and create yet another upcharge event...meh At least give us some more Orange Harvest teases to assure us things are still moving forward, jeez From 64.12.116.206 on June 7, 2014 at 12:07 AM The Halloween event at the MK is good value for the money, partially because the wait times for the rides are so short all night. Another reason is that the Boo To You Parade is exceptionally creative and entertaining.

Disneyland Resort guide map, theme park tickets or any other decorative paper, cut into 4? squares Foam brush Thin cork, cut into 4? squares Heavy-duty crafting glue Step 1: Wipe the tile with a damp cloth to remove smudges and fingerprints. Step 2: Use the foam brush to paint the tile with a generous coat of decoupage glue. Immediately center paper on http://charactersofdisney.bravesite.com the tile, pressing firmly on one edge and working your way to the opposite end to get rid of air bubbles and creases. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Tip: Be sure to apply additional pressure to the edges and corners since they?re prone to peeling. Step 3: Brush a layer of decoupage glue over the paper and tile, making sure your brushstrokes run in one direction (You?ll be able to see the strokes when the glue dries). Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Step 4: Brush a second layer of decoupage glue over the paper and tile in the same direction as in Step 3 or in the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the desired look is achieved. (I used four layers of decoupage glue.) Step 5: Apply a thin layer of acrylic sealer according to the sealer directions. Allow to dry completely. Step 6: Use crafting glue to attach a cork square to the back of the tile. (That way, you can use and stack your coasters without worrying about scratches.) Repeat process with remaining tiles. Allow each to dry for at least 24 hours before use. Disney's Animal Kingdom Gets Set For New Harambe Nights - Orlando Sentinel

The cast of about 50 performers includes an orchestra, choir, dancers, celebrity narrator and a pivotal character, the village shaman known as the "sangoma." "It is with his sort of mystical power that we have this experience of the scenes coming to life," Jackson-Randolph said. Tickets to Harambe Nights sell for $119 ($79 for age 3-9). An admission ticket to Animal Kingdom is not required; the park will already be closed for the evening. The 55-minute "Concert in the Wild" show is separate from the Animal Kingdom's popular "Festival of the Lion King" production, which returns from hiatus in June. Both will be seen in the park's new Harambe Theater. The sets will be transformed after the day shows are complete, Jackson-Randolph said. A celebrity narrator will tell the story of Simba, the cub who would be king, each Saturday, beginning with actress Viola Davis on June 7. Honeymoon At Disney? Why Not Hawaii Instead?

I take part in various forums and the question of where to go on vacation comes up frequently. I typically suggest Disney World and it typically goes disregarded. It left me wondering exactly what it is people are trying to find in a vacation.

There is no concern that people ought to go where they desire on vacation due to the fact that they strive all year to save for it and vacations do not come really frequently. A vacation ought to be relaxing, enjoyable, satisfying, and unforgettable. I visite site have actually been on extremely couple of getaways that didn't include camping like Lake State Park in Maine. In fact, the only area I have actually vacationed beyond New England is Disney World. And, to be sincere, I really can't think about other place I would wish to go now that I have been there.

My spouse and I went to Disney World for our honeymoon. I protested it when she initially discussed it, thinking we had to go to Hawaii, Cancun, Aruba, or something more "standard". However, we went to Disney and I couldn't be happier. We remained at the Grand Floridian Hotel, which is their finest hotel. This trip offered everything I pointed out in the previous paragraph and I think people, like me, that dismiss the idea if Disney as a vacation destination really have to rethink their decision.

A journey to Disney will never be dull and it will constantly be fun, delightful, and unforgettable. You could not believe of Disney as unwinding nevertheless. After all, you are on your feet all day, walking with the parks in extreme heat, the majority of the year, and standing in lines waiting to get on trips. However, my other half and I both stated we might have stayed at the hotel for the week and had simply as excellent of a time. The service anywhere at Disney is superior to other business I have handled. The hotel had a white sandy coastline, nice swimming pools, jacuzzis, health facilities, excellent dining establishments, and gorgeous landscaping to just take a relaxing walk around.

Disney also provides night life like you could discover on a cruise or at a Cancun or Aruba. Found in downtown Orlando is Downtown Disney. They have many dance clubs, funny clubs, and the party is given the street as each club wheels out their portable bar and serves beverages on the street. At the end of the street is an open phase where they commonly have live performances. In addition to this night life Disney is known for their home entertainment throughout the parks. They put on programs that are fantastic. We saw a show that was outside in the evening. I think it was called Illuminations. This was a show made up of characters in addition to motion picture clips. The finest part was the film clips were shown on sheets of water spraying up from the lake/pond the show was in.

I have talked up until now about what my wife and I such as in a vacation but the fact continues to be, there are lots of various kinds of individuals and the good news is there are unlimited places to vacation. Simply in our nation alone we have numerous destinations. You can pick any area of this country and discover something worth seeing on a vacation. We have so numerous different sites that must be seen by all before they die, such as the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Empire State Building, Washington, DC, and the list goes on.

As much as I enjoyed my trip to Disney I could also see myself in Montana doing some fly fishing. The landscapes during that motion picture, "A River Runs Through It" was impressive. I have also viewed many shows on Discovery HD and seeing what else is out there actually makes you value how lucky we are to be alive and enjoy the scenes nature has produced.

Regardless of what you look for in a vacation there is something out there to fill that need. Get out there and enjoy it.

The study found that juvenile male killer whales are capable of learning new call types when they undergo a change in social association. Killer whales have vocal repertoires that scientists call ?dialects? because they?re composed visit their website of calls unique to particular social groups.
